Just a few statements about how I began my Real Estate career 28 years ago. I was an elementary school teacher when I graduated from St. John as University and proceeded to Graduate school at Brooklyn College and finished my studies at Queens College. Shortly after I started teaching in the Catholic School system in Queens. I taught 3rd and 4th grade for five years until my first child was born. Living in Great Neck at the time in a really small house, we decided it was time to move into a bigger one. Long story short we bought a house in Manhasset and lived there for 11 years. We then decided to move about 2 miles away to a smaller house in Manhasset and the process of selling the house began. It was just around the time when the stock market took a tumble in the late 80 as and things were not looking good for the housing market. Many Real Estate brokers showed our house and tried very diligently to make a sale but it wasn at happening. At that time we had bought the other house and needed to make an a serious decision, so we rented the house for a year. We struggled to maintain two homes, with a renter who bounced several checks and had a fire in our home without letting us know promptly. I decided to go to Real Estate School around this time. I sold my house after completing my salesperson real estate course and went on to obtain my Associate Broker license. I am also a Relocation Specialist as well. Furthermore, during my 28 year career working at first with Aug Millang Real Estate and now with Laffey Real Estate, I have lived in some of the areas I now service. Utilizing MLS a real estate platform and all the major technological features in today as market available through Laffey Real Estate and also as a member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, I use excellent marketing and creative skill to sell and list many homes in Nassau, Queens and Suffolk counties. Below is a Zillow review of one of my customers I assisted with the purchase of a home in Garden City, NY. Ann was an amazing asset in our home buying process. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and marketplace. She was very devoted to getting us the exact house we wanted. My goal in every transaction is to be professional, honest and provide most up to date information and educate the sellers and buyers from beginning to the end of the process and beyond. Being prepared for the obstacles that may occur along the way and get to the task at hand, I have found that there is, in my experience, always room for negotiations between a willing seller and the buyer to close the deal. I have sold 50 million dollar plus of real estate from helping first time home buyers to a family moving to a larger house, condos and Relocation clients, to multimillion dollar properties in Sands Point, Plandome Manor, Upper Brookville and commercial buildings in Queens. Below is another Zillow review of a customer I assisted with the purchase of a home in Glen Head, NY. I met Ms. Macdonald when I scheduled a showing for a house she had the listing. Although the transaction was more complicated than a typical residential transaction, she was instrumental in finding solutions to issues both seller and we could live with. She even went out of her way to get the elderly seller settled into a good place and handled all the logistics for her to ensure the transaction went smoothly. I have dealt with many, many real estate brokers both personally and professionally, but I was truly impressed with Ms. Macdonalds unrivaled professionalism, creative problem-solving skills, and refreshing straight- forwardness.
